具有深厚的法律背景，沃爾克·施萊格爾曾任漢堡聯(lián)邦部長、外交官。他擔(dān)任德國駐新加坡、伊朗大使，駐華盛頓德國經(jīng)濟代表，是德國外交部關(guān)鍵人物。不尋常的是,他也有扎實的工業(yè)經(jīng)驗，是一家全球鋼鐵生產(chǎn)公司的首席執(zhí)行官，是SGL集團（與寶馬公司密切相關(guān)）高級顧問，SGL是世界上最先進(jìn)的碳纖維和新材料公司。與此同時，他能帶來豐富的產(chǎn)業(yè)關(guān)系。

Hankou University cooperates with distinguished German industrial policy maker
??? Continuing the successful internationalisation drive initiated by Hankou University`s Chairman of the Board Dr Luo Aiping, th International Innovation Center of the University directed by Vice President Academician Prof. Peter Sachsenmeier agreed on cooperation with German distinguished policy maker, Ambassador and State Councillor Volker Schlegel.
??? With a background in law, Volker Schlegel is a former state Minister of Hamburg and a career diplomat. He served as Germany`s Ambassador to Singapore, Iran, and as Germany`s Economic Representative to Washington, and as a key member at the German Foreign Office. Unusually, he also has solid industrial experience, as CEO of a global steel production company and as the senior advisor to BMW-related SGL, one of the foremost advanced carbon and new materials companies in the world. ?Apart form his knowledge, he brings with him a wealth of industrial contacts.
??? IIC is honoured and delighted to title him as their Distinguished Research Professor.
